Millis, Massachusetts October 27, 2003-- NormSoft, Inc. today announced an agreement with Handspring, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAND) to distribute Pocket Tunes Basic 2.0 to users of Handspring's new Treo 600 smartphone. Customers who purchase the new smartphone will have the option to download a free fully-licensed copy of Pocket Tunes Basic after registering their device with Handspring.

Pocket Tunes is an advanced MP3 player for Palm OS 5 devices. Aside from playing MP3 files, Pocket Tunes will also play Ogg Vorbis and WAV files. Pocket Tunes includes many other features as well. For instance, it will continue playing music while using other applications and can display its popup console to easily pause, change the volume, or switch songs. Pocket Tunes also includes a 10-band graphic equalizer to adjust the audio as well as full-color skin support and many other features that make it the preferred player for the Treo 600.

In addition, Pocket Tunes has been specially optimized for the Treo 600's unique feature set. Pocket Tunes takes full advantage of the Treo 600's Five-way navigation control to make one-handed use possible. Pocket Tunes will also turn off the Treo 600's screen to conserve battery power while playing and will pause audio playback when the phone rings to allow the phone to be answered. Finally, Treo 600 users will benefit from the included skin that has been specially optimized for the Treo 600's display.

Customers using the free copy of Pocket Tunes Basic will receive free updates to all future 2.X versions, when available. Power users will also have the option of upgrading to Pocket Tunes Deluxe. The deluxe version offers crossfading, gapless playback, and bookmarking capabilities. Crossfading seamlessly fades from one song to the next, while gapless playback eliminates the annoying skip between songs recorded from a live album. Bookmarking allows listeners to keep track of where they left off when listening to audio books or recorded radio broadcasts.

December 20 2003--Bryans Road, Maryland, December 19, 2003 � PPX3k today released their landmark product, PPX For Pocket PC, an enhanced shell, User Interface design, and usage tool, that finally brings a custom interface to the Pocket PC masses. This program allows anyone to create a custom interface that suits their needs instead of using the normal, stock, Pocket PC interface as supplied with the operating system.

Michael Pollard and the staff of PPX3k have been working diligently to create an environment for the Pocket PC that is both easy to use and easy to create. Utilizing industry standard bitmaps and easy access dialogs, anyone can now create a User Interface that works for them. 'Initially, we were going to release a 'Lite' version, but I kept pushing out the code until I realized that our current version had fulfilled every objective but one for what had been envisioned for the full version'.

With this release, users can have virtual pages, layers, overlay images, icon support and plug-in compatibility.
